Job summary

Interra Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator for the Finance team. You will initiate residential mortgage processes, prepare and verify applications, and coordinate with internal referrals to grow mortgage business.

You will review credit histories, present lending packages, and assist members through closings while ensuring compliance with laws and Credit Union policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field.
• NMLS and State Licensing required and must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the residential mortgage process for potential members.
• Prepare, analyze, and verify mortgage loan applications.
• Originate first and second mortgages via internal referrals and branch walk-ins.
• Review loan applications, credit histories, and repayment capacity.
• Present lending packages based on member specifications.
• Attend title company closings as needed.
• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Credit Union policies.
