Job summary

Interra-Credit-Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to initiate the residential mortgage process for members, including preparing and analyzing loan applications for purchases or refinances. You will solicit new business from realtors, builders, and referral sources while maintaining strong member relationships.

The role requires 3+ years in mortgage lending, knowledge of FHA/VA/Fannie Mae products, and an active NMLS license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in mortgage loan origination or related sales roles.
• Experience with FHA/VA/Fannie Mae products and loan types.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field and NMLS license required.
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Initiate the residential mortgage process by preparing and analyzing loan applications.
• Solicit new business from realtors, builders, and referral sources to originate loans.
• Present lending packages and explain mortgage options to members.
• Coordinate disclosures, signatures, and timelines with regulators and members.
• Develop and maintain relationships with members, realtors, and partners.
