Job summary

MLB Residential Lending, LLC is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator responsible for analyzing customer needs and selling loans and other financial products. You will meet applicants, assess finances, explain loan options, and work with processors and underwriters to move loans to close.

The role requires 1–2 years of residential lending and sales experience, an active NMLS license, and a valid driver's license. A 2-year degree is preferred and MS Office/Adobe Acrobat proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-2 Years' experience as a loan originator in the residential lending industry is preferred
• 1-2 Years' sales experience in some facet of financial services
• Associates degree is preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
• Valid driver license with a good driving record

Responsibilities

• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process
• Analyze applicant financial status, credit and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans
• Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available as well as the terms of those options
• Submit applications to processors for verification and recommendation
• Review loan agreements to ensure they are complete and accurate according to policy
• Follow quality control policies and procedures
