What You’ll Do
As a Residential Manager, you will:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned residential site(s), ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment.
- Supervise and provide guidance to Direct Support Professionals and other assigned residential staff.
- Manage staffing and scheduling to maintain appropriate coverage.
- Work directly with individuals served, providing support with daily living skills, personal care, community involvement, and other needs.
- Support individuals in developing independence, building relationships, and becoming more involved in their communities.
- Oversee medical appointments, medication management, and required health-related documentation.
- Train and coach employees on individual-specific needs, medication procedures, program requirements, and job competencies.
- Monitor employee performance, training compliance, timekeeping, and documentation.
- Maintain consumer records and ensure documentation is accurate and completed according to program and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and respond appropriately to crisis situations and significant behavioral or medical concerns.
- Assist with consumer funds, petty cash, household supplies, and other residential operational needs.
- Ensure homes remain in compliance with applicable state regulations, safety standards, and agency policies.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and provide assistance during residential emergencies.
- Serve as a positive role model and promote teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and person-centered support.

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid, non-provisional driver’s license
- Personal vehicle with required minimum liability insurance coverage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer and internet literacy
- Ability to meet applicable employment screening and clearance requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable residential care regulations, policies, and procedures
Preferred
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a group home or residential setting
- Experience with direct staff supervision
- Medication administration experience
- Behavioral intervention and crisis management experienceKnowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with budget or residential operations management
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Flexibility is required based on program and staffing needs
- May include evenings, weekends, appointments, emergencies, and other non-scheduled hours
- Participation in the program’s on-call rotation is required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, reach, bend, stoop, twist, and climb steps as required
- Ability to drive a vehicle
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more as required by the position
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation
