Job summary

Cambridge Management, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve and upkeep our residential communities. You will respond to service requests, coordinate with the maintenance team, and ensure safety standards are met while delivering excellent resident service.

Key tasks include preventive maintenance, preparing vacant apartments, basic electrical and plumbing work, and maintaining the quality and appearance of the property. Flexibility for on-call shifts is expected.

Qualifications

• Must diagnose problems and make repairs in electrical, plumbing, exterior and appliance areas.
• Experience in tub replacement and interior upgrade installation.
• Ability to perform daily work orders and apartment turns promptly.
• Read and respond to service requests and complete reports per procedures.
• Maintain property standards and communicate effectively with others.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call rotations.
• Share on-call phone on a rotation basis.
• Willingness to take on other tasks beyond repair and maintenance.
• Handle tile work, carpentry repairs and make-ready tasks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with maintenance supervisor to prioritize daily tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service with residents, guests and vendors.
• Identify safety or maintenance issues and address or report them.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments for move-in and complete repairs as needed.
• Keep community appearance up by replacing bulbs, removing trash, and painting.
• Accurately log service requests and make-readies in Onesite.
• Perform electrical and plumbing work as required.
• Assist with groundskeeping, pool maintenance, housekeeping and notices as needed.
• Participate in on-call and snow removal activities if applicable.
