Job summary

Jones Street is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep the property running efficiently and to handle plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and painting tasks. This role is on-call for after hours and weekend emergencies.

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for responding to service requests, preparing vacant units, performing repairs, logging work orders, and ensuring safety and quality in all tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliances.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Physical ability to lift 25–50 pounds, climb stairs, and work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests in a friendly, professional manner and complete tasks promptly.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy with painting, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Maintain fast-paced work while ensuring quality and coordinating with others in make-ready.
• Repair wall holes, caulk cracks, patch ceilings, and texture patches.
• Log actions and supplies in the work order system.
• Provide excellent resident customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Rotate on-call for off-hours emergencies.
• Comply with policies and OSHA/ADA/Fair Housing laws.
