Job summary

Jones Street Residential in Maine is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work with the Maintenance Supervisor to keep the property operating efficiently and respond to requests promptly.

You will oversee plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, carpentry and painting tasks, and participate in after-hours and weekend emergency on-call rotations.

This role also requires maintaining the work order system, delivering resident-focused service, and complying with OSHA, ADA, and Fair Housing guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in residential, commercial, or mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues.
• Physical ability to exert, climb stairs, use ladders and work outdoors in varying weather.
• Excellent time management and adaptability to shifting priorities.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring timely completion.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy, including painting, carpentry and general repairs.
• Maintain a fast pace without sacrificing quality and support other maintenance staff.
• Repair holes in walls, caulk around windows/doors, fix ceiling patches and textures.
• Maintain accuracy of the work order system and log actions and supplies.
• Develop rapport with residents by delivering superior customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned or necessary.
• Rotate on-call for emergencies during off-hours (nights and weekends).
• Follow company policies and applicable laws (OSHA, ADA, Fair Housing).
