Job summary

KETTLER is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Gates of Ballston in Arlington, VA. You will handle daily maintenance requests, perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs, and work on preventive maintenance to keep units market-ready.

Requirements include 1 year of maintenance experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to respond to after-hours emergencies. EPA/CFC certification is preferred and must be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• 1 year of apartment, hotel, or facilities maintenance experience with HVAC, appliance, electrical, and plumbing repair.
• Excellent customer service and focus on timely, accurate responses to residents.
• Must obtain EPA/CFC Type I & II certification within 90 days from date of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and live within 30 minutes of the property.
• Must carry a cell phone and be available for on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple residential service requests daily.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests in HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair; troubleshoot and repair or escalate as needed.
• Participate in maintenance projects and turnover repairs to market-ready status.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all systems at the property.
• Maintain property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors.
• Provide courteous, responsive service and communicate clearly with residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
