Job summary

Cornerstone Residential in Oregon is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve and upkeep apartments, fixtures, and common areas, ensuring safe, comfortable living.

This full-time, hourly/non-exempt role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with on-call duties and overtime as needed; pay is $20–$22 per hour.

Required: high school diploma or GED; at least two years in residential maintenance; knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and energy systems; valid driver’s license; strong communication.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems knowledge.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local/state regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant units.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, and HVAC, electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments.
• Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call as scheduled 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary and pre-approved by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery safely and in compliance with safety procedures.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
• Perform other duties to support property operations.
