Job summary

Cornerstone Residential in Phoenix is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the upkeep of our rental properties, respond to service requests, and keep building systems in safe, working order. This full-time, hourly position runs Monday–Friday 7 am–4 pm with on-call duties; compensation ranges from $20–$22 per hour, plus potential monthly commissions.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of residential maintenance experience, plus HVAC/plumbing/electrical

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years’ general residential maintenance experience for LIHTC property.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations.
• Must have reliable transportation, maintain auto insurance, and have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on-call as scheduled and work weekends and after hours as necessary.
• HVAC Certification

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant rental units.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments.
• Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery safely per procedures.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
• Perform other duties to support property operations.
