Job summary

Fairlawn is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Indiana. You will perform a wide range of maintenance repairs, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and roofing, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with at least 2 years of driving history.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, AppFolio and Outlook.
• Superior attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated embodying company core values: Be Kind, Own It, Be Flexible, Always Improve.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliances, roofing inspection/minor roof damage; coordinate outsourcing when needed.
• Maintain skilled maintenance of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other structures.
• Participate in residence turnover and obtain bids from subcontractors for renovations.
• Maintain rapport with current and prospective residents.
• Complete maintenance requests timely and document time, expenses, and results.
• Ensure safety and preventative maintenance opportunities; comply with OSHA and laws.
• Assist in developing methods to improve facility efficiency and workflow.
• Serve as emergency contact for after-hours maintenance.
