Job summary

American Avenue is seeking a field maintenance technician to perform general repairs across multiple homes. You will handle carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical tasks with a focus on timely, high-quality workmanship.

The role requires daily travel within the metro, property inspections, and turnover work, using handheld devices for updates. A valid driver’s license and tool ownership are essential, with growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding organization.

Qualifications

• Multi-trade capability across carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and property turnover.
• Advanced plumbing and HVAC certifications preferred.
• Strong communication with residents and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repairs across homes (carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical).
• Travel between homes within the metro area daily.
• Conduct property inspections, secure homes, and complete vacancy/wellness checks.
• Handle minor pre-renovation repairs and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage move-in/out meetings and property turnovers.
• Document property conditions using handheld devices.
