Housing Authority of Baltimore City (HABC) is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform semi-routine maintenance tasks across housing sites and grounds in Baltimore, MD. You will handle carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing repairs in response to work orders, ensuring safety and quality in all units.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and at least 3 years of general maintenance experience, with a valid Maryland driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of general maintenance/repair experience (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Possession of a valid Maryland driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of building repairs and maintenance tasks in response to work orders.
• Inspect buildings for safety issues and document findings.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to keep systems operating efficiently.
• Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, electrical components, and other household systems.
• Assist in inspections and ensure vacant units are turn-ready in a timely manner.
