Job summary

The City of Baltimore is hiring a Building Repairer to maintain and repair the physical structures and utility systems of public buildings. The role operates with moderate supervision and involves work in indoor and outdoor settings, including ladders and scaffolding.

Qualified candidates will have at least a high school diploma or GED and three years of building repair experience across at least four trades: painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing or electrical.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: 3 years in building repair and maintenance including 4 of 5 trades (painting, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical).
• Equivalency: 6 months extra experience may substitute for each year of high school/GED.
• License: Valid Maryland Class C noncommercial driver’s license or equivalent out-of-state license as required.
