Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Aurora, IL to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet the company’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and function. You will handle work orders, preventative maintenance, and make-ready tasks for vacant units.

You will also manage inventory, document actions, and assist with grounds maintenance while adhering to safety policies. On‑call duties and varied weather conditions are part of the role.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications required (Type 1 & II or Universal).
• Valid driver’s license required to operate property vehicles.
• State/local jurisdiction certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and preventative maintenance per policies and safety standards.
• Complete make-ready process for vacant units, including inspections and punch lists.
• Track inventory and requisition materials; notify supervisor for re-ordering.
• Complete timely documentation of service requests and maintenance actions.
• Assist with grounds, cleaning, and painting tasks as needed to maintain property standards.
• Support cost-cutting by using parts efficiently and following proper tool usage.
