Vesta Management NJ is seeking an affordable-housing experienced Maintenance Technician to support Somerset Homes & Livingston Homes in Newark, NJ. The role focuses on timely work-order completion, make-readies, and on-call emergencies to ensure safety and appearance.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in apartment maintenance, proficiency in drywall, plumbing, carpentry, and basic HVAC, with a valid driver's license and a can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related maintenance experience.
• Apartment community experience required.
• HVAC knowledge preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with resident service requests and prioritize turnaround of work orders.
• Maintain safety, appearance, and operational standards across the property.
• Prepare units for occupancy (make-ready) within 3–5 days of vacancy.
• Inspect and document preventative maintenance and work orders.
