Job summary

Vivmark Residential in Maplewood, New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical and related systems within our apartment communities. The role requires on-call rotation and a commitment to safety and resident satisfaction.

You will perform preventative maintenance, assist in painting tasks, and ensure vacant homes are rent-ready while upholding Vivmark’s high standards of service and responsiveness for residents across our nationwide

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical work.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work on-call in rotation monthly.
• Ability to read and follow policies, SDS, and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of PPE and safe chemical handling.
• Understanding of emergency systems and basic maintenance tasks.
• Familiarity with painting and wall finishing.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances and related systems.
• Complete service requests and repairs timely according to standards.
• Ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready and perform turnkey work as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance on community assets.
• Assist interior/exterior painting and related touch-ups.
• Maintain safety culture and report unsafe conditions or equipment.
