Job summary

Timberland Partners is hiring a Maintenance Technician for The Retreat of Shawnee, a 342-unit community in Shawnee, KS. You’ll handle general upkeep, unit turns, and preventative maintenance to ensure residents have a high-quality living experience from day one.

Role requires 2+ years’ maintenance experience, EPA HVAC license, and a willingness to work a Monday–Friday schedule with rotating on-call shifts. Sign-on incentives and quarterly bonuses are provided where eligible.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of general maintenance experience, residential maintenance preferred.
• EPA universal license for HVAC required.
• CPO license preferred.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment, plumbing systems, electrical systems, all major appliances including washer and dryer.
• Experience with turnover “make-readies” of apartments.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver timely, high-quality results for resident work requests and day-to-day community maintenance needs.
• Take pride in curb appeal by keeping grounds, amenities, and common areas above quality standards.
• Identify and resolve potential safety or upkeep issues, protecting the property and its residents.
• Execute seamless make-readies, repairs, and final checks for move-in readiness.
• Provide reliable emergency support on a rotating on-call schedule.
• Follow industry procedures to maintain safety for staff and residents.
