Job summary

Equity Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to address resident service requests, perform hands-on maintenance, and prepare market-ready apartments on site.

You will also conduct preventative maintenance, care for grounds and common areas, and respond to emergencies as needed. A strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical work, and general repairs is required; weekend shifts and a 10am-7pm schedule apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• English communication skills (oral & written).
• Willingness to work weekends and on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service requests promptly.
• Perform hands-on maintenance including plumbing and electrical work.
• Prepare market-ready apartments and maintain community grounds.
• Conduct regular inspections and identify repairs or replacements.
• Schedule: Sun-Thu 10am-7pm with 1 hour meal break.
