Job summary

Mac Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Hyde Park area of Chicago. The role offers $22-$24/hour plus a shift differential for qualifying schedules, with a Tuesday–Saturday 3p–11:30p shift and alternating on-call weekends.

The Maintenance Tech will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential building systems, ensuring apartments are market-ready and well-maintained. A valid driver's license and basic tools are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
• Own basic tools and knowledge of safe tool use.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned service requests and repairs promptly and courteously.
• Diagnose and repair residential apartment building systems including electrical, plumbing and HVAC.
• Perform preventive maintenance on building equipment and systems.
• Restore apartments to market-ready condition and oversee vendors.
• Maintain building grounds and assist with after-hours emergencies.
