Job summary

Texas A&M University System seeks a Maintenance Worker to care for residential facilities at TAMU-Corpus Christi. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and related systems while responding promptly to resident requests.

Maintain records and coordinate with contractors as needed, using TAMUCC vehicles or golf carts for site travel. Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of maintenance experience, valid driver's license, and

High school diploma or GED.
1 year of related experience in building maintenance.
Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and other building systems.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to work on-call and after hours as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform regular preventative maintenance and repairs on residential facilities, including electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, HVAC, and other systems.
Respond to resident requests for maintenance or repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
Use of ladders and small lifts.
Conduct regular inspections of residential units to identify and address potential maintenance issues before they become larger problems.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repair work completed.
Work with contractors and vendors as needed to complete larger maintenance projects.
Operate a TAMUCC vehicle and/or golf cart to navigate to and from worksites.
On-call and after-hours availability as needed.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions.
