Job summary

Cornerstone Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Covina, CA to preserve and maintain residential spaces. The role involves responding to service requests, performing repairs to appliances, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, and conducting preventative maintenance.

The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with on-call duties and potential overtime. Compensation is $22–$23 per hour (DOE), with benefits and opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum two years’ general residential maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations.
• Must have reliable transportation, maintain auto insurance, and have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on-call as scheduled and work weekends and after hours as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant rental units.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments.
• Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call as scheduled 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
