Job summary

WinnCompanies is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to join our Dorchester, MA team. You will perform maintenance across a 291-unit scattered-site community, including rental units, residents’ spaces, offices, grounds, and parking areas.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call duties 1–2 times per week. Candidates should have 1–3 years of relevant experience, solid electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant work experience.
• General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, appliances, and HVAC.
• A current vehicle license in good standing and meet driving record standards.
• Excellent customer service skills and good communication.
• Basic familiarity with computers/tablets.
• Availability for on-call activity during off hours.
• Ability to speak/understand basic English.
• Ability to work with a diverse group.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair appliances, carpentry, hardware, masonry, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and basic HVAC.
• Complete service requests and repairs per operating procedures.
• Ensure vacant apartments are prepared for occupancy and market-ready.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and unit/building inspections.
• Maintain grounds and curb appeal; snow removal, landscaping, trash management.
• On-call availability 1–2 times per week.
