Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have working knowledge of residential building maintenance.
• Experience with plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Ability to communicate with residents and staff.
• High school diploma or GED with 3–5 years in maintenance in senior living or apartments.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and emergency repairs in apartments and public areas, including electrical, plumbing, and fixtures.
• Maintains HVAC equipment as assigned and follows manufacturer recommendations.
• Completes preventive maintenance procedures on designated equipment.
• Responds to emergency calls for system or equipment failure and documents work orders promptly.
• Assists other maintenance staff on projects and maintains adequate supplies for tasks.
• May work overtime and weekends as schedules require.
