Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of general residential maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations.
• Must have reliable transportation, maintain auto insurance, and have a valid driver''s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on-call as scheduled and work weekends and after hours as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily communication and work with other staff.
• Respond to resident/work orders for units (occupied or vacant).
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance tasks.
• Inspect vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call 24/7, weekends, and overtime as scheduled.
• Operate machinery safely in compliance with procedures.
• Complete grounds work and light landscaping.
• Support community operations and assist other communities as needed.
