Job summary

Cornerstone Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve and upkeep building, fixtures, and residential spaces across our communities. You will respond to resident and management requests, repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and perform preventative maintenance.

You’ll inspect vacant units and support move-ins, with on-call shifts 24/7 as scheduled. This is a full-time, hourly position (Mon-Fri, 8am–5pm) at $27–$28 per hour (DOE).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years’ general residential maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local, state, or other regulations.
• Reliable transportation, auto insurance, and a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work on-call as scheduled and weekends/after hours as necessary.
• Background and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident/management service requests for occupied and vacant units.
• Repair/replace appliances, plumbing, and HVAC/electrical systems as needed.
• Repair/replace apartment materials and perform maintenance requests.
• Identify and perform routine preventative maintenance assignments.
• Inspect and repair vacant units and prepare for move-ins.
• Work on-call as scheduled 24/7, weekend shifts, and overtime as necessary.
• Perform tasks and operate machinery safely and in compliance with procedures.
• Complete grounds work, including grounds pick up and light landscaping.
• Perform other duties to support property operations.
