Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years of general residential maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy management systems.
• EPA Section 608 certification, Type II or Universal.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification, as required.
• Applicable certifications and licenses required by local, state, or regulatory agencies.
• Candidates must obtain required certifications within 12 months of employment.
• Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Able to work on-call as scheduled, weekends, holidays, and after-hours as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities for the community and maintenance team.
• Assign daily responsibilities and communicate priorities to maintenance staff.
• Monitor, evaluate, and ensure timely completion of daily and weekly work orders.
• Coordinate and respond to resident work orders based on urgency and needs.
• Inspect vacant apartment homes during make-ready to meet company standards.
• Repair and/or replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other components as needed.
• Complete routine maintenance requests and repairs in homes and common areas.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and hold staff accountable.
