Job summary

Perkins School for the Blind is seeking an Assistant Coordinator of Residential Living in Watertown, MA. Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Two years of experience working with children with disabilities.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• CPR, AED, First Aid certifications required.
• ASL proficiency may be required depending on program needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to Teaching Assistants and Awake Overnights.
• Conduct yearly performance appraisals for staff.
• Develop and implement IEP goals and strategies with students.
• Ensure safety and crisis management according to SafetyCare.
• Coordinate daily schedules, transportation, and documentation.
• Represent the cottage in meetings with families and school districts.
