Job summary

Perkins School for the Blind in Watertown, MA, is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist for a temporary position, with potential for permanence. You will work with students who have visual impairments and complex needs, delivering comprehensive occupational therapy services within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include clinical evaluations, developing treatment plans, reporting progress, collaborating in IEP meetings, and guiding adaptive equipment use.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Registration as a licensed Occupational Therapist in Massachusetts is required.
• CPR/AED and Safety Care certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical evaluation services with written reports and liaises with medical staff.
• Develops individual therapeutic objectives and treatment plans for each student.
• Delivers or supervises occupational therapy and recommends adaptive equipment.
• Participates in IEP/ISP meetings and program planning.
• Maintains student records and supports program development.
