Job summary

The State of South Carolina seeks a dorm supervisor to oversee the safety, health, and daily living skills of students on a housing floor. You will supervise approximately 5-15 students, model positive behavior, and ensure accountability under the Associate Director's guidance.

You will document incidents, teach independence, manage routines, and collaborate with parents and staff to support student welfare and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED plus three years of supervision experience with children.
• Preferred Associate's Degree with one year of caregiving supervision experience.
• Must be able to communicate modalities depending on placement.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors student behavior and location and enforces the Student Code of Conduct.
• Documents and reports discipline, behavior, and injuries, following up on outcomes.
• Teaches hygiene, independent living, study habits, and dorm care; ensures clean clothing and proper dress.
• Ensures safety and security, reports unsafe conditions, administers basic first aid, and evacuates if needed.
• Leads leisure and cultural activities, assists in problem solving, and communicates with parents and staff.
