Job summary

The SC Governor's School for Agriculture at John de la Howe is seeking a Residential Life staff member to oversee student housing, ensure health and safety, and guide students in personal-social matters. The role requires discretion, tact, and reliability in working with students, parents, staff, and the broader school community.

Responsibilities include supervising residents, reporting incidents, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring compliance with DHEC and fire code regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive a state vehicle.
• Must be able to pass a national background check.

Responsibilities

• Provides immediate residential life oversight and guidance in health and safety, discipline, and personal-social problems.
• Monitors activities and whereabouts of residents and administers medications; completes residential reports and incident reports.
• Communicates incidents and progress to department supervisors; participates in trainings and professional development.
• Reviews conditions of residential life facilities, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensures compliance with agency policies, fire code regulations, and related laws; collaborates with campus units.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
