Job summary

Léman Manhattan is seeking a part-time Residential Assistant to join its Residential Life team in a boarding context. The RA will work with Dorm Parents to maintain a safe, structured, and engaging environment for boarding students, building relationships grounded in respect and appropriate boundaries.

Responsibilities include supervising lounges, conducting rounds, assisting with daily needs, and supporting emergency procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year working with adolescents in a leadership or mentorship capacity.

Responsibilities

• Support care, supervision, safety, and well-being of boarding students while on duty.
• Supervise lounges, common areas, and residential spaces during shifts.
• Monitor student whereabouts, checkouts, and perform rounds of residential spaces.
• Communicate relevant student concerns to Dorm Parents promptly and accurately.
• Assist with and chaperone residential activities, community-building events, and excursions.
• Follow established emergency, health, and safety procedures and promptly notify Dorm Parents or other designated staff when concerns or emergencies arise.
