Job summary

Cornerstone Residential is seeking a Leasing Agent in Charlotte, NC to welcome prospective residents, conduct property tours, process applications, and secure leases. The role emphasizes fair housing compliance and meeting client expectations within the budget framework.

The position is full-time, on-site, with typical hours Monday–Friday 9 am–5 pm. Compensation ranges from $16 to $18 per hour, DOE, with eligibility for commissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably within Residential Property Management.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, sales, or customer service will also be considered.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service and sales experience.
• High School diploma or equivalency certificate required.
• Valid Driver's License, a good driving record, and current motor vehicle insurance which meets State requirements.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management-related software, email, internet, social media).
• Must be able to pass a background and drug screening.
• LIHTC experience

Responsibilities

• Client Relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner to meet Client objectives and expectations.
• Communication: Maintain professional communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests.
• Leasing/Occupancy: Maintain occupancy levels; exhibit professional leasing techniques; assist with market surveys and advertising strategies.
• Reporting and Document Management: Maintain resident files and ensure confidentiality; manage reporting and documentation.
• Risk Management: Ensure compliance with risk management procedures; report injuries or incidents promptly.
• Facility Maintenance: Report and track maintenance needs; monitor property condition and coordinate timely completion.
• Other duties as assigned
