Job summary

TruGreen in Dothan, AL is seeking a Residential Lawn Care Technician to manage an assigned route, apply lawn treatments, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role emphasizes independent work outdoors and driving a company vehicle to service multiple properties in the area.

You will receive training, potential state certification support, and a path for career growth within TruGreen, a nationally recognized lawn care provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old at time of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to pass MVR and consent to a background check.
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to speak, read and write English fluently.

What You'll Do

• Drive a company vehicle on an assigned route (must be able to become DOT certified)
• Applying lawn care treatments to residential and commercial properties
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions and additional services
• Managing your route and customer information using a tablet
• Building relationships with customers and delivering exceptional service
• Work outdoors in a fast-paced, independent environment safely.

What To Expect

• Walking an average 10-12 miles outdoors throughout the day
• Lifting and moving materials up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Operating equipment safely
• Serving multiple customers each day

What You'll Need

• Must be at least 21 years old at the time of hire
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to pass MVR and comfortable consenting to a criminal background check
• Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
