Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work, including electrical sales and renovation projects. This role requires someone with the ability to connect with homeowners and their electrical needs to assist them with selecting the right solution to their problems, as well as someone who wants to work with a family run small business. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and occasionally commercial settings. We are a family run company with tons of benefits that the big box store electrical companies cannot offer.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems according to local codes and regulations.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for various tasks including wiring, troubleshooting, and repairs.
• Conduct tests using voltmeters and ohmmeters to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.
• Renovate existing electrical systems to improve efficiency and safety standards.
• Provide guidance to homeowners.
• Comfortable going on service calls.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a JourneymanElectrician.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, troubleshooting and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in using power tools and equipment relevant to electrical work.
• Experience with working with homeowners.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00 per hour plus commission

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
