A Journeyman Electrician is responsible for the electrical safety of the facility/site, reporting, troubleshooting, and preventing electrical problems daily. They are responsible for efficiently installing electrical equipment and materials to complete tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct or attend daily safety briefings.
• Maintain safety working conditions at all times.
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
• Identify electrical classifications and conform to requirements.
• Cut, thread, and bend conduit of all types and sizes.
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits and determine measures to fix or prevent issues.
• Install and/or replace electrical circuits indoors and outdoors.
• Plan, layout, and install wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on specifications and codes.
• Follow blueprints and sketches to locate wiring and ensure safety compliance.
• Advise management on equipment hazards.
• Provide cost estimates for materials and services.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Electrical Services.
