Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; two years in Human Services preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Must be able to lift and transfer 70–75 lbs.
• Must possess a valid CT driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate with persons with developmental disabilities and work in a team.

• Create a nurturing, positive learning environment and help clients cope with daily living.
• Facilitate independent performance in daily living activities.
• Implement care plans and document progress and barriers.
• Monitor medical, physical and behavioral changes; report to supervisor promptly.
• Administer medications once certified, per policy and DDS standards.
• Assist with medical appointments and follow doctors’ orders.
• Plan, purchase and prepare meals within budget; follow dietary plans.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of home, vehicles and properties.
• Engage in training, meetings and community activities as required.
• Ensure client privacy and confidentiality.
