Community-Residences is seeking a part-time Residential Instructor in Stratford, CT to support individuals with developmental disabilities. You will create a nurturing environment, implement care plans, monitor health and behavior, and assist with daily living skills inside and outside the home.

The role requires lifting up to 70–75 lbs, use of protective holds, and adherence to medication procedures after certification. Training and supervision are provided as part of a collaborative team.

Qualifikationen

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Ability to document client progress and daily activities.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and protective holds per policy.

Aufgaben

• Create a positive learning environment and help clients cope with daily living.
• Assist with meal planning and following dietary plans.
• Monitor medical and behavioral changes and report to supervisors.
• Administer medications after certification and per policy.
