Job summary

Temperature Systems Inc. (TSI) is seeking an Inside/Counter Sales professional for a 100% onsite role in Wisconsin. You’ll handle customer calls, assist with orders, and identify parts and solutions while promoting additional sales.

Requirements include 1–2 years in HVAC and customer service (ERP experience helpful). You will work under the Inside Sales Manager, supporting multiple customer service functions and potentially Counter Sales duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years HVAC experience preferred.
• 1–2 years counter sales or customer service experience (call center ok).
• ERP software experience preferred (CSD a bonus).

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming calls and walk-in traffic.
• Prepare and enter orders.
• Assist customers in identifying parts, equipment, and supplies; quote pricing/allocation.
• Research parts to stock new equipment.
• Provide solutions, researching requests and offering options.
• Troubleshoot inventory and shipping problems.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with customers and vendors.
• Resolve customer complaints.
• Maintain knowledge of TSI product lines.
• Promote additional sales to customers.

Reporting to the Inside Sales Manager, you’ll support a variety of customer service functions while building valuable experience across the business. You’ll also have the opportunity to assist with Counter Sales and/or Inside Sales responsibilities as needed, keeping your days dynamic and expanding your skill set.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive incoming customer phone calls and walk in traffic.
• Prepare and enter orders.
• Assist customers in identifying proper parts, equipment, and supplies; quote pricing and availability.
• Research parts to stock new equipment.
• Provide solutions to customer requests, including research of the requests and suggest options to customers.
• Troubleshoot inventory and shipping problems.
• Follow up with vendors or purchasing department to monitor back orders to determine status.
• Coordinate delivery schedules between company and customer.
• Resolve customer complaints.
• Maintain working knowledge of product lines stocked by TSI.
• Proactively promote additional sales to customers.
• Maintain showroom by stocking shelves, showcasing new products, as well as straightening and keeping area clean.
• Responsible for after-hours calls on rotating schedule.
• Promotes and maintains a flexible, cooperative, positive, team-oriented attitude with and between departments and end users.
• Ensures timely, accurate, proper records, files, databases, etc. are developed and maintained for assigned areas of responsibility.
• May assist other departments with special projects as needed.
• Open and willing to perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or a general educational degree (GED)
• 1-2 years of experience in HVAC
• 1-2 years of experience in counter sales and/or customer service (call center experience preferred)
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (bonus points for CSD experience!)

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent communication, organization, customer service, problem solving and follow-through skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build long-term relationships with customers.
• Proficient in typing and data entry.
• Ability to balance a high volume of customer calls and emails.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Outlook, Excel, etc. and SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, varied/changing priority environment.
