Job summary

D'SPAIN SALES & SERVICE, INC. is seeking a Residential Service Technician in Texas. You will repair mechanical and controls for heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems while upholding company standards and professional customer relations.

You will work under the Residential Service Manager, handle on-site service tasks, coordinate parts and paperwork, and participate in after-hours calls. A Texas license and Type I/II CFC certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or trade school equivalent required.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of ductwork design and installation.
• Experience with refrigeration pipe fitting and installation.
• Must complete minimum 30 hours of continuing education annually.
• Must hold Type I and II CFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Repairs to mechanical and controls of HVAC equipment.
• Maintain work quality to company standards and represent the company professionally.
• Be courteous, neat, and in uniform on the job.
• Complete repairs and maintenance in a professional and profitable manner.
• Request help if problem cannot be found within an hour (Residential).
• Record parts needed and report to dispatcher daily.
• Maintain service truck inventory and tools.
• Ensure vehicle organization and appearance.
• Input model/serial numbers and filters for locations.
• Report time off with two weeks' notice; notify manager in emergencies.
• Coordinate with Residential Service Manager on issues beyond authority.
• Promote service agreements and EPA/compliance policies.
• Be available for after-hours emergencies per on-call schedule.
• Assist in selling new equipment and service work; earn commissions as specified.
