Job summary

HomeWorks Energy, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Service Technician I to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential systems with a focus on customer service. You will perform routine PMs, diagnose complex issues, and assist with system start-up commissioning.

The role covers Metro-West MA with overtime eligibility and a compensation of $26–$36 per hour plus incentives. Strong problem-solving and CRM skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Section 608 Certification.
• OSHA 10.
• NATE certification preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 3+ years HVAC Service Technician experience.
• Experience with split, ductless, heat pumps and boilers.
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and refrigerant handling.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read English documentation and CRM data.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair residential HVAC systems with diagnostic tools.
• Perform preventive maintenance and tune-ups on HVAC equipment.
• System start-up commissioning for new installations.
• Assess replacement options and provide detailed estimates.
• Educate homeowners on energy efficiency and best practices.
• Document service activities and maintain CRM records.
• Collaborate with sales and installation teams as needed.
• Adhere to safety, codes, and environmental guidelines.
