HomeWorks Energy, Inc. is hiring a HVAC Service Technician I to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential HVAC systems, including start-up commissioning on new units.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and provide energy-efficient recommendations to homeowners. The role involves selling replacement systems, working in customer settings, and upholding safety and quality standards while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Section 608 Certification.
• OSHA 10.
• NATE certification or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician, with strong troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of residential HVAC systems.
• Experience with ductless mini-splits, heat pumps, smart thermostats, and high-efficiency boiler systems.
• Proficiency with HVAC diagnostic tools and refrigerant handling.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex HVAC issues independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems in residential settings using diagnostic tools and multimeters.
• Perform routine PM tasks: clean coils, replace filters, check refrigerant levels, inspect electrical components.
• Conduct system start-up commissioning for newly installed HVAC units and verify proper operation.
• Provide customers with energy-saving tips and maintenance guidance.
• Educate customers on replacement options and collaborate with sales for replacements.
• Document service activities accurately and maintain records.
