HomeWorks Energy, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician to install and maintain HVAC systems, conduct preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You will troubleshoot, calibrate equipment, and communicate with customers to explain operations and repairs. Based in Woburn, MA, this full-time hourly role offers a clear career path from Service Tech I to Lead Service Tech, with the potential for performance incentives and overtime.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship is preferred.
• EPA 608 Certification (for refrigerant handling) is required.
• NATE (North American Technician Excellence) certification is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in HVAC with a focus on system start-up, commissioning, or installation.
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment, systems, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance and System Start-Up: arrive on time and perform system cleaning and calibration.
• System Testing, Troubleshooting, and Commissioning: conduct tests and resolve issues with HVAC units.
• Customer Communication and Documentation: explain operations and document service activities.
• Collaboration and Safety Compliance: work with teams and follow safety guidelines.
• Shadowing junior technicians and providing training as needed.
