Job summary

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking skilled residential HVAC installers to join the Greater Hartford team. You’ll start each day in a company truck, visit homes, remove old equipment, and install high-efficiency furnaces, AC units, heat pumps, and air handlers with quality and safety in mind.

This role offers competitive pay with overtime, provided tools, paid training, insurance, 401(k), and opportunities to advance into lead installer or supervisory roles as you gain experience.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience installing or replacing residential HVAC systems.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability with a safety-first mindset.
Backgrounds we welcome: HVAC installers, installation techs, service techs with install experience, and sheet-metal HVAC experience.
Experience with light-commercial install or crossover service is valuable.
No prior crew-lead or management experience required—grow into it here.

Responsibilities

A day in the life

Start your day in a company truck, review the plan, and head to a customer home. You’ll remove outdated equipment and set high-efficiency systems—furnaces, central air units, heat pumps, and air handlers. You’ll connect and adjust related ductwork, thermostats, and controls; perform system startup, testing, and troubleshooting; and verify everything meets code, manufacturer specs, and our company standards. Throughout each visit, you’ll communicate clearly with the homeowner, maintain a clean work area, and wrap up with a reliable, safe, and polished installation.
