Join One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning as we expand our Greater Hartford service team. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, solving technical puzzles, and explaining solutions clearly to customers, you’ll fit right in.

A day in the life

You start your morning by reviewing scheduled calls on a fully stocked company vehicle. First stop: a furnace short-cycling in a 1920s colonial. You apply electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to isolate the fault, replace a failed control, and verify safe operation. Later, you perform preventive maintenance on a central air system, walk the homeowner through filter changes and thermostat settings, and document your findings for the team. Throughout the day, your focus stays on accurate diagnosis, quality repair work, and honest recommendations—never high-pressure sales.

What you’ll work on

• Residential heating and cooling systems: furnaces, central air, heat pumps, and air handlers
• Controls and thermostats: calibration, wiring, and replacements
• Preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and performance
• Clear communication with homeowners about system status and repair options
• Organized documentation and tidy work areas, including your service vehicle

Backgrounds that translate well

Hands-on HVAC experience is what matters—whether you’ve been a residential service technician, heating and cooling mechanic, facilities HVAC tech, or an installer who also diagnoses and repairs. Residential experience is a plus, and light-commercial or facilities backgrounds often fit seamlessly. We value practical skill over exact job titles or brand lists. No management or crew‑lead experience is required; start as a skilled technician and grow as our team scales.

Compensation, Tools, And Benefits

• Annual pay: $80,000–$100,000, plus performance incentives and overtime opportunities
