Job summary

Len The Plumber Heating & Air is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our Halethorpe, MD team. You’ll diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair residential heating and cooling systems, including boilers, oil and gas heating, heat pumps, and traditional HVAC equipment.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of field experience, strong diagnostic skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to communicate clearly with homeowners.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of residential HVAC service and/or installation experience.
• Experience diagnosing and servicing boilers, oil heating systems, gas heating systems, and heat pumps.
• Strong knowledge of residential heating and cooling systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment and determine repairs.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Service boilers, oil-fired and gas-fired heating systems, heat pumps, furnaces, and air‑conditioning systems.
• Perform thorough HVAC inspections and identify system issues.
• Explain findings, repair options, and recommendations to homeowners.
• Complete repairs efficiently with high workmanship and safety standards.
• Deliver exceptional customer experience during every service call.
• Maintain regular communication with Dispatch and management.
• Complete service documentation, invoices, and required reporting accurately and on time.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and stocked company vehicle.
• Follow company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Participate in ongoing training and obtain required certifications.
• Participate in rotating weekend and evening coverage.
• Maintain a professional appearance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
