Job summary

CABS Heating & Air Conditioning in West Sacramento, CA is hiring a full-time Residential HVAC Service Tech to service heating and cooling systems. You’ll visit homes, diagnose issues, explain options, and perform tune-ups with meticulous records, all while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates have 1+ year experience, EPA certification, and strong customer service skills, with the ability to serve the greater Sacramento area.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling systems.
• EPA certification required.
• Strong knowledge of furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioning equipment and controls.
• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment and work safely.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit customers’ homes, deliver positive customer service, and answer questions.
• Accurately inspect, diagnose, and repair furnaces, heat pumps, and AC systems.
• Explain service options and obtain approval before work.
• Perform seasonal tune-ups and routine maintenance with detailed records.
• Ensure work meets industry regulations and quality standards.

YOUR NEW ROLE

You'll work flexible schedules within our operating hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Some evenings, weekends, and flexibility may be required to meet business needs.

Here's what to expect as our Residential HVAC Service Tech:

• Visiting customers' homes, answering questions, and providing positive customer service
• Accurately inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment like furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioning systems
• Explaining service options to customers and gaining approval for the work
• Performing seasonal tune-ups, completing routine maintenance, and maintaining detailed service records
• Complying with industry regulations and quality standards to complete excellent work and get equipment in peak operating condition

REQUIREMENTS

• 1+ years of experience diagnosing and repairing heating and cooling systems
• EPA certification
• Strong knowledge of heating and cooling equipment, controls, and diagnostics
• Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment
• Positive attitude with professional communication and customer service skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to serve the greater Sacramento area

Preferred Criteria:

• 5 years of experience
• NATE certification
• Experience using ServiceTitan and Google Suite
