Job summary

Byrum Heating & A/C is seeking a skilled Residential HVAC Installer to join our team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate will install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, and ventilation components with pride in workmanship.

Experience with residential installs, EPA certification, and a valid driver's license are required. You’ll follow safety guidelines, document installations, and communicate professionally with customers while supporting training for junior staff.

Qualifications

2+ years HVAC installation experience preferred.
EPA Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days).
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, and ventilation components.
Review job requirements and materials prior to installation.
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Ensure installations meet code requirements and company standards.
Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Complete installation notes, documentation, and equipment registration.
Assist in training junior team members when needed.
