Job summary

Byrum Heating & A/C, a NearU company, seeks a Residential HVAC Installer to join our NC team. You will install residential and light commercial systems, including equipment, ductwork, and ventilation components, delivering high-quality workmanship and adhering to codes.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of installation experience, EPA Type II or Universal Certification (or the ability to obtain within 90 days), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50+ pounds.

Qualifications

2+ years of HVAC installation experience required.
EPA Type II or Universal Certification preferred or obtainable within 90 days.
Valid driver’s license with clean record.
Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather.

Responsibilities

Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, and ventilation components.
Review job requirements and materials prior to installation.
Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Ensure installations meet code requirements and company standards.
Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
Complete installation notes, documentation, and equipment registration.
Assist in training junior team members when needed.
