Job summary

Byrum Heating & A/C, a NearU company, is seeking aResidential HVAC Installer to join our service-focused team in North Carolina. The ideal candidate has experience installing residential and light commercial systems and takes pride in high-quality workmanship.

You will install, test, and commission equipment, review job requirements, follow safety guidelines, and document installations. EPA Type II/Universal Certification is preferred, and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years HVAC installation experience
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in attics, crawlspaces, and varying weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Must pass a background check and drug screen

Responsibilities

• Install residential and light commercial HVAC systems, including equipment, ductwork, and ventilation components.
• Review job requirements and materials prior to installation.
• Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Ensure installations meet code requirements and company standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Complete installation notes, documentation, and equipment registration.
• Assist in training junior team members when needed
